Z vsemi novimi surferji na svetovnem pokalu se je že precej pred začetkom letošnje sezone začelo iskati in ugibati – kdo bo naslednji Kelly Slater. Po drugi tekmi svetovnega pokala na avstralskem Bells Beachu (in sosednjem spotu Winkipop) je odgovor na to vprašanje znan. Naslednji Kelly Slater je – Kelly Slater.
