In memory of Patrick Swayze

Another Swayze movie that’s entered the canon of cult movies such as surfers. As the adrenaline junky/criminal mastermind Bodhi in Kathryn Bigelow’s “Point Break,” Swayze did all of the skydiving and surfing stunts himself. He wound up breaking four ribs during production.

He will be remembered as surfer and only because of surfing an American president robber of banks … :

* “That is Bodhi, they call him Bodhi satfa. He is a modern savage. He is a real searcher.”

** “What is he searching for?”

* “The ride – ultimed ride!”

This film deserves to be remembered as one of the better actioners of the nineties, not up there with Die Hard 2/3 or Speed, but better than 90% of the action junk made nowadays. At least this film has a plot.
